WHY WE MADE THIS




Because they told us we couldn't.

In 2021, Yo! Martez dropped the "From the Ground Up" collection — a tribute to hard work, community, and building something from nothing. Home Depot's lawyers noticed. King & Spalding sent a Cease & Desist demanding we pull the shirts and scrub the photos from the internet.

We did what they asked. But we never forgot.

Almost 5 years later, this hoodie brings the piece back to life — featuring a slightly modified version of the original photo (legalities) and the actual legal verbiage from the C&D paperwork printed on the back.

If a million-dollar corporation felt threatened enough to send lawyers after a brand from Abilene, TX — that should tell you everything about how big this thing really is.

They tried to erase us, but instead just amplified our belief.
